I’ve created this site to support parents, like me, who have children with serious illnesses. I’ve watched too many Christian mommies beat themselves up, be consumed by fear, and bare so much guilt. I’ve also watched too many moms make doctors or medicine their god, and put all their trust in them. My prayer is to support and encourage you with my understanding of all those things while pointing you to the feet of God – the answer to everything. Whatever your child’s illness may be, whatever your hurt is, God is the healer of it all.
Don’t know how to relate to God? Don’t know if you can trust Him? That’s OK, grab a cup of coffee, dive into the articles, and let’s walk this journey together. You don’t have to do this alone.
In His Love,
Kimberly
I would love to hear from you! Tell me your story, share your hurt, or whatever is on your heart. You can e-mail me at kimberly@kimberlyehlers.com .
Think a joyful Christmas is impossible with your child’s health problems? You’ll love this program “Let Go of Perfect, Grab on to Joyful This Christmas.” It’s a short show full of useful tips from a mom who’s been there!
Here’s a link you’ll need: http://www.myaudioschool.com/?cat=181 . I shared it when we discussed the all important “Backup Plan”. Make sure to listen to the end for a special offer. Enjoy!
Our children go through so much because of their illnesses, if it’s congenital heart defects or any other kind of serious illnesses. As a parent, who loves their child more than their own life, it’s heart breaking to watch them suffer.
Need some encouragement and some hope? Nothing gives all of that (and more!) than the words of a child! Make a cup or tea or coffee and take a little time to enjoy my interview with Seth. He talks honestly about his hardest times, how parents can help, and how everyone can get through their trials.
I’m working diligently on my newest e-book, “The Messy Motives of a Worried Mom”, and can not wait to share it with you! You will be able to buy it separately or as part of a powerful bundle including the audio of my Messy Motives of a Worried Mom teleseminar and an awesome little audio guide to help you get the most for your audio. It’s such good stuff! OK… back to writing!
Keeping Up Appearances
Do people look at your outward appearance, the smile on your face, and comment on your strength? Little do they know that you spent the night crying. Do they look at the care your child takes and say things like, “God picked the right Mom for this little one”? They have no idea how your head spins with worry over doing the right thing for your child.
I want you to know that God did pick the right Mom for your child – not because of your strength, but because of your heart.
