If you’ve read “The Faith Challenge” or some of my other articles, you know I talk about the importance of worship music. I encourage you to make your own CD to have handy on the days that you are really struggling. When these days come, pop in your music, and worship. Worshiping like this refocuses our hearts and minds from our worries onto Him. We not only give Him the worship He deserves, but we are given a fresh start. Praising Him this way reminds of who He is and that He is in control. We leave our worship with a renewed faith.
This week, life for my little family, has been turned upside down. Right now, things are frightening, but at the same time exciting because new doors are open for us. Where those doors will take us, we don’t know – that’s the scary part.
This morning was such a blessing to me. I’ve had the house to myself and spent time in prayer and Scripture. I also put in my Worship CD and worshipped with all my heart. Singing the praises of God and the truths about Him has put me right where I need to be – at His feet, trusting Him, and ready to be obedient.
Maybe you’re not sure about what songs would make a good Worship CD. Because I believe so strongly in having worship music within easy reach, I would like to share my list with you. Of course, I can’t give you the songs – I would get in big trouble for that, but you can find these songs on iTunes or at Amazon.com and burn them onto a CD. My list might not be just right for you, but I hope it will help you to get a better idea of what songs would be best for you. What if burning your own CD is out of the question? Take the time to look up these songs, listen to them, and be blessed!
